The Leventis Municipal Museum of Nicosia
The Leventis Municipal Museum of Nicosia invited the appios® team to rethink their identity, communication and visual character after an extensive renovation of the premises. Following 30 years after the creation of the Leventis Museum, a lot had changed in the world of Museology and our team decided that the well-established identity, which was also designed by appios® could remain but be updated with a fresh new look.
Our work on this project is by all means multi-scaled: from the graphical communication throughout the rooms, to an LED display that accompanies the exhibits, to the intricate detailing of the wrapping paper for the new shop of the Museum.
“The identity is inspired by the iron-made decoration above the main entrance – the shapes altered to form a heart; representing all the museums location in the heart of Nicosia, both culturally and physically.”
“The chronology room, the first space a visitor encounters is minimally designed and rich in information. The team produced legible text designs in a sans-serif font.”
“The new identity appears throughout the spaces of the museum. On glass that required safety manifestation, it is expanded and rotated to form an intriguing pattern.”
Museum Shop
The shop of the Leventis Municipal Museum was part of the renovation works. The team created a simple identity that establishes the shop and its products as a go-to destination for gifts, books and other collectible items.
