4 Dimensions

The artist Dimitra Kokkinou once again invited appios® to create the visual identity for her new exhibition titles 4 Dimensions at the Marginalia Gallery in Nicosia, Cyprus. With her origami technique and with a lot of detail but also subtlety, the artist creates works from old books, maps, old envelopes, postcards, printed advertisements etc.

Apart from an intricate invitation, the studio also designed the exhibition catalogue which included all the works from the show as well as some information on the artist. A specially made font was used to minimally display the exhibition’s name on a white textured paper, in blood red.

“The folding invitation was inspired by origami, the ancient Japanese technique of manipulating paper that is used extensively throughout the artist’s work.”
