The Leventis Municipal Museum exhibited a variety of great works by the renowned Domenikos Theotokopoulos, also known as El Greco (“The Greek”) in 2012. An exhibition where one of the works got a forever home in the Paris Collection of the A. G. Leventis Gallery, later on the years.

The appios® team was asked to design the branding and the visual identity for this immense exhibition, bringing to life the feel and the characterisation of the art works.

The information panels were also designed by appios®, and were thoughtfully placed around the exhibition room, guiding and the visitors on the story of each art piece.

Publication

As part of the exhibition, the appios® team designed the catalogue that was on sale during the duration of the show. On the cover, the team used a gold colour specially printed to mimic the paintings of El Greco. For the inside of the catalogue, the text is situated in a careful manner so as to not draw attention from the paintings.
