Costas Argyrou Museum

Costas Argyrou was a pioneering Cypriot naive sculptor and master of versatility whose artistic journey spanned mosaics, painting, and glass etching. At the end of 2023, the Costas Argyrou Museum, a unique destination in Mazotos village, was lovingly renovated to showcase the monumental work of this self-taught artist. 

To create a truly memorable museum identity, appios® studio designed a logo inspired by the stunning Kore statue (believed to be the artist’s last completed stone sculpture) which majestically holds up one of the columns at the museum entrance. Indoors, the museum houses a varied collection of paintings, sculptures, mosaics, and woodcarvings created with eclectic materials. To bring the works to life and deepen the audience's connection with Cypriot culture, appios® designed eye-catching museum panels and informative text presented in a typeface inspired by sculptural elements.
