Kyriakides Mushrooms Homegrown Kit

Growing mushrooms with passion since 1979, Kyriakides Mushrooms is a firm consumer favourite, now instantly recognisable in supermarkets across Cyprus. From common white mushrooms to Portobello, Oyster, Shiitake, and the tantalisingly delicious Portobellini, the company takes pride in fresh and tasty produce while working hard to conduct business in the most ethical and environmentally friendly manner.

Helping the brand stand out against the competition, the appios® team refreshed the company’s brand identity, creating personified characters for all Kyriakides mushroom types, illustrated in the style of a diverse family. This vivid and memorable look was then used for a funky new homegrown mushroom kit packaging design, encouraging consumers to experience the joy of this magical kingdom in their homes.

A simple recyclable brown paper box was chosen to reflect the company’s sustainable and environmentally friendly ethos, featuring basic step-by-step instructions and the easily identifiable mushroom characters. The black design and text reinforce the notion of simplicity and quality, adding a flair of sophistication to an otherwise playful packaging design.

Sustainability can be incredibly fun, and our carefully designed mushroom kit not only inspires consumers to cultivate their own gourmet mushrooms at home, but it does so in an eco-friendly, imaginative, and charming way.
The joyful design creates a narrative that is both imaginative and environmentally conscious, with simple text and instructions that enhance the charm of our beloved mushroom characters in a fun narrative.
